Lantzville flowers grow both Castle Drive and Coralie dahlias for bouquet and tuber production.  Both varieties are very similar in appearance and have often been mistaken for one another.  Castle Drive was hybridized in 1991 by Roger Turrell while Coralie was hybridized in 1982 by T. Mantle both located in the UK (Coseytown Flowers, 2023). Both varieties are recognized by the American Dahlia Society.

Prior to harvesting the Castle Drive and Coralie tubers in the fall, the plant's identity is confirmed visually: Castle Drive has large, floppy leaves and light green stems; Coralie has smaller, dark green serrated leaves, with darker stems when compared with Castle Drive (Coseytown Flowers, 2023).
